    Language Functions: Students should be able to understand short spoken texts, whether formal or informal, provided that they are clearly organized, relatively simple in structure, and present ideas in a logical sequence. Such texts should generally avoid complicated shifts in time, flashbacks, or the introduction of many different people and events. Learners are also expected to recognize and understand frequently used expressions and vocabulary connected with familiar areas of everyday life, such as family, shopping, employment, leisure activities, hobbies, and entertainment.

    They should be able to follow what another person says in direct, face-to-face communication as well as during telephone conversations. In addition, learners should be capable of identifying the overall meaning and the key points of a straightforward conversation between native or non-native speakers of Greek, especially when the subject matter relates to situations, activities, and experiences that are familiar to them.

    Furthermore, students should be able to understand the central message of brief spoken texts delivered at a slow yet natural speed. These may include basic public announcements, for example in shops or at bus and train stations, recorded or telephone information concerning matters such as times, films, theatres, or hospitals, simple television weather forecasts, as well as uncomplicated stories or descriptions involving events, people, objects, and places. At this level, learners may occasionally need to ask the speaker to repeat, clarify, or express something in a different way in order to fully understand the message.

    Grammar/Use of Language: - simple past and simple future of A/B1/B2 conjugations - adverbs of place, manner, quantity - comparatives and superlatives of adjectives and adverbs - genitive of nouns in singular and plural - imperative of active voice all conjugations - imperative with personal pronouns - introduction in simple and continuous subjunctive (va) - passive voice verbs in present tense -amai - connections of phrases by conjuctions - irregular feminine and neuter nouns.
