COMING FROM ABROAD
1. Public transport around Larnaca can be rather limited, although there is a plentiful supply of reasonably priced taxis. Arriving at Larnaca International Airport, hire cars and taxis are available just outside the terminal, also at many other locations around town. Prices will vary with season and type of vehicle, but is the reccomended mode of transport because Cyprus is only 3 hours across.
2. Accomodation closest to Learn4Good Larnaca would be in Pervolia E-Hotel. Pervolia is a picturesque and tourist village, close to all amenities. A 10 minute bicycle ride will bring you to the classroom for those not wishing to drive. Rise Hotel have just opened in Larnaca town with very reasonable prices, although a taxi or car would be necessary to travel to Kiti.
3. Sightseeing around Learn4Good Larnaca would have to include the beautiful sea scene from Faros Lighthouse,
Ancient Kition (once a capital of Cyprus). For more ancient history, visit the Archaeological museum of Larnaca which also hosts artefacts from the first settlement in Choirokoitia 7000BC.
Choirokoitia, the World heritage site is only half an hour drive from Learn4Good Larnaca. Saint Lazarus Church in the heart of Larnaca is not to be missed, particularly during festivals.
The road to Stavrouvouni Monastery is full of pleasant sights, especially the view of Larnaca. Be advised though, women are not permitted inside!
End your sightseeing day at Finikoudes promenade which hosts a variety of restaurants and bars, perfect for that late dinner date. More traditional and nearer Cyprus cuisine can be found at
"Patriko" in Tersefanou or at "Diatiriteo" in Kiti village.
